Tian Boon Keng was an inmate featured in Inside Maximum Security (CNA). In prison, Boon Keng only knew about his mum’s death through a newspaper obituary and his biggest regret is that he never really told her he loves her a lot. Because of his crimes, Boon Keng also custody of his daughter. He has tried to change his ways in the past – but struggled. At his lowest, Boon Keng started going to the prison’s chapel services. There, he saw how former inmates had truly turned their lives around. He wondered, “How come they can change? What is their secret?” Hoping to transform his life, Boon Keng decided to finally open his heart to God and was released from prison on 23rd July, 2022. Today, he is working hard to build up his savings for his future with his fiancée. He has also volunteered to spend time with the elderly and give back to society. However, while trying to turn his life around, Boon Keng knows the road ahead is hard. “Following God is not easy, but you must really cling on and never, never let go.” Amid uncertainties, Boon Keng has only one prayer request, “Please pray for me to be strong in God.”
