Growing up, Juinn Yee saw her dad working hard to support the family. In 1990, a German man approached her dad to be the financial director of a new puzzle toy venture. Her dad was so thrilled by the business role, given his lack of education.
But one day, her dad received a shocking letter from the bank. The German had tricked her dad into using his own assets as collateral, then secretly used company cards to splurge on luxury goods. In total, Juinn Yee’s dad was scammed of almost a million dollars, also losing his dream home. Crushed, he suffered a full mental breakdown and was admitted to a psychiatric ward.
Struggling to help her dad and deal with demanding creditors, Juinn Yee turned to her only lifeline. She said, “God was my hope. I needed strength to get up every day. I prayed and He answered my cries.” To Juinn Yee’s surprise, her friend’s cell group mate started seeing divine visions. Though he didn’t know the details of her dad’s case, he saw a vision of a bearded Caucasian with gold-rimmed glasses, a Rolex, a silver pen and a white-sleeved shirt. Later, Juinn Yee was stunned when she met the German for the first time in court and the man’s appearance matched the vision exactly.
Later, the cell group mate called Juinn Yee to share another vision that warned about her dad’s suicidal thoughts. Sure enough, the very next day, Juinn Yee’s dad came to her, expressing his desire to die. These and other incidents helped Juinn Yee know that despite her worries, God was with her.
One day, the entire cell group visited Juinn Yee and her dad to pray for him. As they prayed, the room suddenly felt charged like electricity. She recounted how everyone started shaking and crying – “I had never seen my dad cry. God’s love came over us.”
After this supernatural encounter, Juinn Yee’s dad welcomed Jesus into his life. As he began walking with God, his depression and anxiety started to fade. He went on to have a full recovery, finding joy in his retirement and family.
“Not only did God heal Dad from severe mental illness, He also restored him and saved his soul.” In 2019, Juinn Yee’s father passed away. He now rests in God’s eternal love.
