Tim first met Nuraini while visiting ACJC in 2006. The two soon fell in love and dated for seven years. On New Year’s Day 2013, Tim proposed to Nuraini and she said ‘yes’. But as time went on, the two developed very different life goals. Unable to resolve their issues, the couple sadly decided to break up and in 2014, Nuraini returned her engagement ring to Tim. Heartbroken, Tim turned to God in trust praying, “Lord, I leave it to You if You want to fix our relationship one day.” Tim and Nuraini drifted apart and she also blocked him online… But their love story was not yet over! In 2017, as Tim prepared to travel to London, he said to his mum, “I’ve a strong feeling I’m going to somehow bump into Nuraini there.” Though he knew the odds of running into her were very low, he couldn’t shake off the feeling. Tim decided to go to church as soon as he arrived in London. He thought about Nuraini while listening to a sermon on reconciling with others. Suddenly, Tim felt God say to his spirit, “Go and find her”. Uncertain but curious, Tim searched around the church… and found Nuraini standing in a corridor. This miraculous meeting gave them a chance to reconcile. By 2021, the two had fallen in love again and on New Year’s Day 2022, Tim proposed once more. I6 years after they first met, the couple finally got married in November 2022. “God can do impossible things. He is the One who helped us reconnect across the world.” – Nuraini.
